Mohamed Salah claims that he will miss Sadio Mane at Liverpool next campaign, however, is really looking forward to linking up with summer addition Darwin Nunez.

It will be a new-look front three for the Merseyside Reds next campaign, with Mane departing for Bayern Munich and Nunez arriving from Portuguese giants Benfica.

After years of success alongside Mane, Salah says that he will miss to play with the Senegalese international forward.

‘I’m so excited, I want to play with him, he had a good season last season and he played good against us, home and away,’ Salah told Liverpool’s YouTube channel of Nunez.

‘Also Sadio is leaving, going to miss him, he had great seasons with the club.

‘So I wish him all the best and I wish Darwin all the best also to score many goals for us.’

Salah was speaking on the announcement of a new three-year deal at Anfield, putting to bed questions over his future with the team.

The 30-year-old was heading into the final year of his previous contract and it looked like he may depart at the end of the upcoming campaign, however, he is now set to remain at the club until 2025.

‘If I look back to that time when I came [here], the club were not winning many things but I think I told you I had come [here] to win trophies,’ he told the club’s website.

‘I think we have won good trophies together [since]! And I think we can do it again. We won so many things together. We had some disappointments, but this is football.

‘I have enjoyed my football here at the club and hopefully I will continue to enjoy it and win many trophies.’
