Liverpool are still watching Donyell Malen’s situation, with PSV Eindhoven expecting a bid for the striker from the Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund this week.
BVB have been in talks with Malen’s entourage Mino Raiola for several weeks over taking the ace to the Westfalenstadion in the ongoing transfer market.
The Dutchman has been pinpointed as Jadon Sancho’s replacement and the German club have a contractual agreement in place with the Italo-Dutch super-agent for Malen.
But negotiations between Rood-witten and Die Borussen haven’t been smooth and there is still some distance between what the Eredivisie giants want and what Marco Rose’s side are prepared to offer.
The Reds also have an interest in him but they haven’t reportedly gone beyond making an initial enquiry for Donyell yet.
However, according to Dutch outlet Voetbal International, Jurgen Klopp and Co. are still monitoring his situation this summer.
The Reds are unable to move for targets this summer as the club are now focused on selling some of their out-of-favour stars.
They remain keen on Malen but Borussia Dortmund have the advantage in the race to land the forward this summer.
Liverpool are raising cash from selling Taiwo Awoniyi and Marko Grujic and it remains to be seen if that prompts the English heavyweights to lodge a bid.
