Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been no strangers when it comes to landing players from fellow Premier League sides over the years such as Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane from Southampton, Diogo Jota from Wolves and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal to name a few.
With this in mind, it looks as though the Merseyside outfit could potentially make a swoop to sign another top-flight star in the near future.
According to a fresh report from the Daily Star, the England international Mason Mount has become frustrated at Chelsea because of his treatment in contrast to other high-profile stars there.
The report also states that Liverpool would be an eye-catching move for Mount who is apparently thrilled by the prospect of playing in front of supporters at Anfield.
One source told the newspaper: “He is torn because he loves the club (Chelsea) and the fans, but thinks it’s time for him to leave to step up his career. And where better to do that than Liverpool?”
He has made a total of 121 first-team appearances for his side across all competitions in which the player has managed to score 20 goals and pick up 17 assists in the process.
A move to Merseyside could give Michael Edwards the chance to make his final transfer masterclass at the English side before leaving his position as their sporting director in the summer.
Liverpool are allegedly one of three Premier League sides preparing to battle for the services of Olympiacos starlet Aguibou Camara.
The 20-year-old midfielder arrived at the Greek outfit after leaving the Ligue 1 champions Lille’s youth setup in the summer and has made a prolific start to life with Thrylos in the Super League Greece.
He boasts four goals and two assists from nine division appearances so far this campaign, and the player has also started all four of their UEFA Europa League group-stage matches.
According to a report from a British newspaper The Sun, his rapid rise has caught the attention of the Reds, but Jurgen Klopp’s side will need to see off interest from Newcastle United and Leicester City to land the playmaker.
The report continues, by stating that all three clubs have been in touch with Camara’s representative, and those close to the player expect him to end up in the English top-flight next year.
The Guinea international is reportedly rated in the region of £20 million by Olympiacos, and his existing contract with Pedro Martins’s side doesn’t expire until June 2025.
Bologna, Villarreal and Monaco are also understood to be keeping a close eye on the current situation surrounding Aguibou.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is allegedly close to signing a fresh long-term deal with the Reds, committing his future to the club.
The issue of the Egypt international’s contract is something that has been discussed plenty by fans, but it appears that the management have almost solved this problem.
The former Roma star’s current deal will run out next year which has led to some panic about what the player will want to do.
According to a fresh report from TEAMtalk, Salah is not asking for £500,000-a-week, in spite of some claims that was the case.
It was also noted that Liverpool are expected to reach a deal with their key man and his agent in the immediate future which will tie the speedy forward down with the Premier League giants.
The 29-year-old winger was on the scoresheet at the weekend when his team defeated Arsenal, which was his 11th goal of the campaign, making him the top goalscorer in the top-flight at the moment.
