Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has allegedly identified Jude Bellingham as his number one transfer target and would be prepared to push for a club record move for him.

After bursting onto the scene for the Championship club Birmingham City, Borussia Dortmund paid £25 million for him in 2020 and the player has since made 51 appearances for the German giants, scoring five goals.

Jude is mature way beyond his years and the Reds are reportedly keen to bring Bellingham’s unique characteristics to the Premier League.

The Daily Star claim that he is the player the German wants to bring to the club above any other and is interested in encouraging an £80 million move for the BVB star.

The report states that Jude is in no rush to leave the Signal Iduna Park outfit where he is a regular in the senior team, starting three top-flight matches already this season.

However, Jude knows he is likely to return to his homeland at some stage and play in the English top-flight for the first time.

Whether that will be next year and if Die Borussen can be persuaded to part with the ace is yet to be seen as the club are under no pressure to sell.

The teenager penned a contract extension earlier in 2021 keeping him at Dortmund until June 2025, so it would take an enormous proposal to tempt them into selling.
