Liverpool are understood to be in the running to land Barcelona attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho this summer’s transfer market.
The Brazilian has been strongly linked with a shock return to Anfield on numerous occasions having left the Premier League giants for £142 million in 2018 (The Guardian).
Unfortunately, the transfer never worked out as planned for the South American and he could be set for another move during this transfer window.
According to Mundo Deportivo’s Francesc Aguilar, Jurgen Klopp’s side are among the clubs in the hunt.
The Spanish reporter states that Coutinho’s entourage is working hard to secure a move back to Premier League and that perhaps surprisingly Liverpool are the ‘most determined’ to make a deal happen.
Since arriving in La Liga, the 28-year-old has managed 23 goals and 14 assists in 90 outings as well as spending a campaign out on loan at Bayern Munich.
Last term Philippe had featured in 14 matches before being ruled out for the remainder of the term in December with a serious knee injury.
Capped on 63 occasions at the international level and having dazzled the Anfield faithful during a 54 goal and 43 assists burdened career on Merseyside, Jurgen Klopp is surely well versed in the talents available.
