Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is allegedly keen on Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi ahead of the January transfer market.

He didn’t feature as Thomas Tuchel’s men beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 to go top of the Premier League last weekend, with the winger having struggled for minutes thus far this season.

Callum faces competition from Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic for a place in the Blues’ attack alongside Romelu Lukaku, while Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta are the German manager’s favoured options at right wing-back.

In spite of Tuchel having ruled out a summer transfer, speculation has continued over Callum’s future, with Jurgen said to be keen on a swoop.

That’s according to Calcio Mercato, which reports the club are carefully considering whether to raid their domestic rivals for his signature.

The Reds were also linked with interest in the Englishman in the summer, having reportedly held discussions with his entourage two-and-a-half years ago after Bayern Munich had an offer rejected.

It seems unlikely the Stamford Bridge side would sanction a move for the player to one of their title rivals, with the Merseyside giants and the west Londoners currently neck and neck at the top of the standings.
