Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is allegedly close to signing a fresh long-term deal with the Reds, committing his future to the club.

The issue of the Egypt international’s contract is something that has been discussed plenty by fans, but it appears that the management have almost solved this problem.

The former Roma star’s current deal will run out next year which has led to some panic about what the player will want to do.

According to a fresh report from TEAMtalk, Salah is not asking for £500,000-a-week, in spite of some claims that was the case.

It was also noted that Liverpool are expected to reach a deal with their key man and his agent in the immediate future which will tie the speedy forward down with the Premier League giants.

The 29-year-old winger was on the scoresheet at the weekend when his team defeated Arsenal, which was his 11th goal of the campaign, making him the top goalscorer in the top-flight at the moment.

In other news, Newcastle United have allegedly identified Liverpool’s Divock Origi as a potential January signing as they attempt to bolster the squad.

Manager Eddie Howe has reportedly told the management to focus on stars that have experience within the Premier League.
