Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui insists he’ll remain at the Spanish outfit following Manchester United’s interest.

The Red Devils are working on appointing the long-term successor to Ralf Rangnick and already have a watchlist of tacticians they wish to speak to.

Ajax boss Erik ten Hag was interviewed the previous week, while the club are also interested in speaking with Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino and Spain chief Luis Enrique.

Julen, who guided his side to victory in the UEFA Europa League two years ago, is also understood to be on the Premier League giants’ radar.

But in an interview with Spanish TV channel El Chiringuito, Julen made it clear that he wants to stay in La Liga.

When asked if Los Nervionenses fans can expect Lopetegui to see in the dugout next term, he replied with a smile: ‘I do not have any doubt.’

In another interview about his long-term future with ABC de Sevilla, he said: ‘I have said it many times and I say it now, I am where I want to be, at Sevilla. I’m happy. Here I can develop my work in the best possible way.

‘It is so, without a doubt. From then on, in football no one ever knows where he might be, because this goes around a lot, but I have no doubts. My will is firm. I am where I really want to be.’
