Derby County sensation Malcolm Ebiowei is at the centre of a four-way transfer battle as the talent edges closer to a final decision on his long-term future, the Daily Mail reports.
The Red Devils and Newcastle United have joined Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace by expressing interest in the promising 18-year-old attacker.
His emergence was one of the bright spots of the Rams’ season which ended with relegation to EFL League One.
But his short-term deal runs out next month and Malcolm, who has played for England and the Netherlands at youth level, is set to depart the Pride Park club outfit.
Previously in the academies of Rangers and Arsenal, Ebiowei, predominantly a wide attacker who has also operated through the middle, signed for Wayne Rooney’s side last year.
Malcolm spent the first half of the season in the club’s youth setup, scoring seven goals in seven U18 matches and also playing for their U23s.
He then became one of the young players the English manager turned to during the side’s relegation fight.
Following one of his brilliant displays at Coventry, the Old Trafford icon said: ‘He has got enormous ability. ‘He’s brave, he’s not afraid to take players on, get tackled, and make mistakes.
‘I thought he was excellent all game. He was the best player on the pitch. It is one of the best performances I have seen from a young player consistently for 90 minutes in a long time and he deserves that because he’s worked so hard. His attitude is incredible and he’s an exciting young player.’
