The London giants centre-forward Alexandre Lacazette is interesting Atletico Madrid, with the Argentine tactician aiming to add the centre-forward for the next campaign. Los Colchoneros are also willing to meet the striker’s asking price of a reported £15m to complete a transfer.

France international was signed by Arsene Wenger back in 2017 after his transfer to La Liga giants failed as UEFA sanctioned a transfer ban for Atletico Madrid. Lacazette has been a consistent performer for the Gunners, scoring at least 10-goals in each of his four campaigns at Arsenal.

Alexandre is revered for his all-around displays and rarely has a bad match. These are qualities appreciated by the Argentine manager at Wanda Metropolitano, the very reason why they were so keen to add the striker in 2017.

Fast forward to 2021, and the 30-year-old striker is available for transfer again as the Gunners are willing to ship the centre-forward out to raise funds. Arsenal are searching for a new centre-forward after being strongly linked with Tammy Abraham and very recently with Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan.

Both those footballers will fetch enormous transfer fees, and the Gunners, having splashed £50m on Ben White, might have a shortage of funds. Arsenal are expected to add either of those targets and hope to sell their unwanted footballers to raise funds.

The French centre-forward’s importance in the side has never been in question, as the Spanish manager is prepared to play him through the last year of his deal. However, the Gunners are open to selling him for £15m if an offer arrives.
