Highly regarded Nigerian attack Henry Onyekuru has attracted interest across Europe, and Liverpool are reportedly eyeing up a move for the 19-year-old who has revealed his dream move would be to Premier League rivals Arsenal, according to the Express.

His 18 goals and 7 assists across 33 appearances for Belgian side Eupen have turned the heads of Europe’s top teams including the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Celtic and Belgian giants Bruges.

Onyekuru predominantly features on the left wing but his versatility means he can play down the middle and on the right flank in which his career so far has seen him come through the Aspire Academy in Qatar before moving to Eupen in 2015.

Liverpool have reportedly sent scouts to watch the talented attacker in action in recent weeks as the player is said to be interested in a move to the Premier League.

However, Onyekuru could be waiting for an approach from the Emirates as the 19-year-old would like to follow in the footsteps of his childhood idol Thierry Henry by wearing the Gunners badge on his chest.

Onyekuru admitted last summer: “I hope to find myself one day in a top club in Europe and to play for my national team.

He added: “The shirt I dream of wearing is Arsenal’s because I’ve always had Thierry Henry as a role model since I was little.”

The widespread interest in Onyekuru throughout the Premier League and Europe could lead to a number of career defining decisions for the teenager who looks set to make his mark on the big stage in the coming seasons.
