Frustrated Arsenal attacking duo leaning towards Gunners exit

Arsenal will evaluate offers for Folarin Balogun and Eddie Nketiah in January, with the duo keen to play senior team football.

The 22-year-old is in the final year of his deal at the Emirates and he has told the club he won’t be extending unless his game time increases.

The attacker has made just two appearances thus far this term but he’s netted in both and he feels he is deserving of more opportunities.

Eddie can sign a pre-contract agreement with non-English clubs from January 1st but the Gunners would be keen to obtain a sum for him should he confirm once and for all that he won’t renew his deal.

The north Londoners have received interest from a host of clubs, most notably from Bundesliga.

Folarin is another that could leave in the immediate future but Arsenal will only allow him to depart on loan for the remainder of the season.

The centre-forward was convinced to sign a new contract last summer after protracted talks with the club.

However, he has managed just 77 minutes thus far this term and Mikel Arteta wants his player to gain more experience out on loan.

Championship side Middlesbrough are leading the hunt for his signature, with manager Chris Wilder interested in signing the striker.

Wilder attempted to snap up Balogun during his time at Sheffield United and he is hoping his long-term interest in the player will finally pay off.

£55m Arsenal-linked Serbia international wants to stick with Fiorentina

Fiorentina forward and Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic allegedly has no plans to quit the club in the January transfer window.

The Serbia international has snubbed the chance to extend his current contract with La Viola beyond June 2023 and is expected to be lured somewhere else next summer.

A January departure for Dusan has also been mooted, but the Serie A side are thought to be after a £55 million figure to sanction an exit midway through the campaign.

According to CorriereFiorentino, Dusan – who has been linked with the Gunners, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur – has no interest in seeking pastures new in the near future.

The report also says that Mikel Arteta’s side came forward with a new-and-improved proposal for Vlahovic, but the 21-year-old striker wants to remain with his team for the rest of the season.

The towering attacker has 14 goals to his name from 16 matches in all tournaments this term, including Fiorentina’s second in a 3-1 Serie A win against Sampdoria on Tuesday.

In other news, Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly interested in landing Napoli and Italy international Lorenzo Insigne, who is also on the radar of Arsenal.

He has featured in 413 matches across an 11-year period for I Partenopei, scoring 114 goals and grabbing 91 assists.

Arsenal declare interest in sought-after Benfica No.9 star

With 11 goals netted this season, including those against Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the Champions League, Benfica forward Darwin Nunez has been attracting interest from several sides.

The Portuguese media regularly comes up with stories naming new teams who joined the fray for the 22-year-old, and as a fresh report from Uruguay, there seems to be one more English side who want the star.

According to Traspasos, Arsenal are interested in signing Nunez as well. The outlet states that Mikel Arteta’s side are alongside Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid in the battle for the player’s transfer.

It’s said that Aguias’ management would not accept less than €40 million for the highly-rated player, even though it is not made clear if that would be a figure for the winter or the summer market.

He is currently protected by a buy-out clause of €150 million, and recent reports from the Portuguese press have been saying that he would only leave in the near future in case someone shows up with that fee.

Speaking of a possible summer move, it has been recently said that the Primeira Liga giants eye record-breaking sale, which is €120 million.
