Arsenal are among the sides eyeing a move for Fulham’s teenage prodigy Ibane Bowat, who is also courted by West Ham and Everton, according to an exclusive report from TeamTalk.
The sought-after defender currently plies his trade with the Cottagers youth academy and is regarded as one of the most gifted players to come out of the academy in the latest years.
The player’s current contract, though, expires at the end of the term, putting clubs like the Gunners, the Toffees, the Irons and even 1.FC Koln on red alert.
Although it appears a transfer to Bundesliga is off the table, Emirates could emerge as a perfect destination for the in-demand defender, who will be aiming to make his breakthrough in a PL side next season.
A centre-half by trade, Bowat has primarily played in the Under-18 PL, during his time at Fulham thus far – making quite an impression with his height and composure that makes him an intimidating presence in the defence.
As a result, the 18-year-old Scottish ace has been dominating the youth competitions.
However, it is about time Ibane makes a step forward in his career, and a move to Mikel Arteta’s side, in that regard, should be an interesting option.
Arsenal have produced and nurtured a lot of young talents over the seasons, including stars such as Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka.
In Bowat, the north Londoners would find themselves a promising centre-back, who is more than capable of making a mark not only in the academy but also in the first-team.
