French international Karim Benzema has admitted that Eden Hazard would be a ‘good signing’ for Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer.
Chelsea’s star man has been consistently linked with a move to the Bernabeu ever since Los Blancos president Florentino Perez suggested that the club would be willing to break the £100m mark to sign the Belgian.
Hazard has had another superb season with the Blues, scoring 14 times and contributing six assists in all competitions.
Whilst the forward himself has rubbished talk about a possible departure from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, he continues to be linked with a move to Spain and now Benzema has admitted he would be pleased to see Madrid sign the Belgian international.
“[Hazard] is a very good player, what can I say?” Benzema told Telefoot, via FourFourTwo.
“I have not seen the rumours, but it’s obvious that he would be a good signing.”
Benzema himself has found his own future a regular topic of discussion in recent months and has once again been linked with a move to the Premier League.
Reports in the Express on Sunday suggested that the Frenchman was considering a move to Arsenal in the summer, although Madrid retain hope that he will snub offers from abroad and sign a new deal at the end of what could be a successful season.
Zinedine Zidane’s men currently sit top of La Liga with a three-point lead and also remain on course to retain the Champions League trophy as they lead their quarter-final with Bayern Munich 2-1 on aggregate ahead of Tuesday’s second-leg at the Bernabeu.
