Romelu Lukaku has allegedly recommended Chelsea to bring in two of his ex-Inter Milan teammates Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni.

The Belgian centre-forward had two stellar campaigns for the Nerazzurri, following his move from Manchester United two years ago, netting 47 Serie A goals and winning the Scudetto last year.

The Blues are believed to be in the market for a new centre-half after having an offer for Sevilla’s prized asset Jules Kounde rejected this summer.

According to an Italian news outlet Sport Mediaset, Romelu has recommended both Milan and Alessandro to the Blues board, suggesting the two stars should be top targets for them either in January or next summer.

Bastoni, who signed for Inter from Atalanta back in 2017, has cemented his place as a senior team regular in the last two terms, after previous loan stints back at Atalanta and also with Parma.

The 22-year-old Italian still has three years remaining on his existing contract, while Skriniar – who has previously been mentioned with a move to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur – will see his deal expire in June 2023.

The aforementioned talents started in defence in the club’s opening two Serie A matches of the new season, with the Nerazzurri winning 3-1 and 4-0 against Hellas Verona and Genoa respectively.
