Chelsea would allegedly be willing to sell midfielder Ross Barkley for £14 million during the January transfer market.
The 27-year-old star has made eight appearances for his team during the 2021-22 season and has featured in three of the Blues’ last four Premier League matches.
Ross is down the pecking order in West London, though, and the Englishman has been linked with a transfer away ahead of the winter market, with the player’s current contract due to expire in the summer of 2023.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Thomas Tuchel’s side are prepared to cash in on him in January providing that they receive a proposal of £14 million.
Ekrem claims that Burnley, Leeds United and Newcastle United are all interested in landing the former Everton ace during the winter market.
Barkley, who spent last campaign on loan at Aston Villa, has netted 11 goals and registered 11 assists in 94 outings for Chelsea since arriving from the Toffees in January 2018.
In other news, Thiago Silva is allegedly likely to sign a fresh contract with Chelsea in the immediate future.
There has been constant speculation about a potential return to Fluminense, who the player represented before making the permanent move to Europe in 2009.
According to UOL, the player is more likely to extend his stay at the club than return to his homeland in the summer.
