Chelsea speed up transfer plans for £150m Bundesliga hitman

Erling Haaland has allegedly agreed to personal terms regarding a summer transfer to European champions Chelsea.

Ian McGarry of The Transfer Window Podcast states Borussia Dortmund prized asset has struck a deal to sign for Thomas Tuchel’s side after a stunning season in Germany.

The 20-year-old netted 41 goals in 41 matches for the Bundesliga giants, having scored 16 times in 18 outings the previous term.

Tuchel thinks the Norway international is the man to fire his UEFA Champions League winners to next season’s Premier League title.

And it appears all that’s left is for the Blues to agree a potential club record transfer sum with BVB after getting Erling to sign off on personal terms.

Ian said: “Personal terms for Haaland are signed off. It’s just a case of Chelsea agreeing a fee with Dortmund.”

Further reports today claim Chelsea have already launched an initial offer of £60 million plus misfit forward Tammy Abraham.

Die Borussen are thought to want £150 million in cash as they look to hang on to their key player.

But Dortmund are known to be fans of Tammy and could accept a smaller sum if the England striker is involved in the deal.

Valencia hold 'firm' interest in 25-year-old Chelsea forward

La Liga side Valencia are very keen on signing Chelsea attacker Kenedy, according to the latest reports from Spain.

Super Deporte reports that the 25-year-old star is now an ‘express personal request’ from head coach Jose Bordalas, who wants a fast player in their roster for next season.

The Spanish tactician already worked with the player back at Getafe in the 2019/20 campaign, and with faith in the Brazilian’s potential, has asked Los Che’s board to negotiate his transfer with Chelsea.

Kenedy has just had a loan stint at Granada, where the star finished with eight goals and six assists in 44 games, and that was evidently enough to draw some attention.

The outlet is full of compliments towards the attacker, explaining he’s one of the fastest players in the league and claiming his versatility could help the Mestalla outfit next season.

However, they also point out this should not be an easy operation. It’s stated Chelsea already snubbed Granada’s request to keep him on loan for another year, and Blues coach Thomas Tuchel would like to see the South American in training before taking a decision on his long-term future.

The website adds that Valencia’s interest is firm, but the deal is at the very early stage as the parties have not even talked about the fee yet.

Chelsea looking at one of Premier League rivals key players

Leicester City playmaker James Maddison is attracting interest from Chelsea and Arsenal, as reported by Chris Wheatley.

The Englishman started the 2020/2021 campaign strong, registering 11 goals before an injury ruled the player out in February.

When James returned, he struggled to hit those heights once again with his downturn in form one of the reasons that the Foxes missed out on securing UEFA Champions League football, while the star himself was left out of his country’s Euro 2020 squad.

With the club set for another season in the Europa League, the midfielder has been linked with a transfer away from the King Power Stadium.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in the player but Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is a ‘huge fan’ of James and he would be keen on making him a Gunner.

What is likely to prove a stumbling block is sum. He still has three years left to run on his deal and Leicester are known as tough negotiators.

The board managed to coax more than £80 million out of Manchester United for Harry Maguire and received good fees for Ben Chilwell, Riyad Mahrez and Danny Drinkwater as well.

The Blues are admirers and could make a swoop if the Morocco international Hakim Ziyech departs Stamford Bridge.

However, that transfer may also be unlikely, with James a costly prospective replacement for a star who was often on the fringes of the German’s plans last season.
