According to a report from Transfer Market Web, Arsenal and Tottenham are all set to challenge Chelsea for the signing of Jules Kounde.

The French defender has been in demand from a number of clubs and the Gunners and Spurs are the latest in line to go after the player.

It looked really close and yet it didn’t happen. Chelsea’s chase for the star was a well-documented one over the transfer market and it seemed that a summer deal would go through sooner or later.

However, the Spaniards made a late swerve and decided that they want to be paid the full buy-out clause amount of €80 million.

The Blues baulked at that and the reported deal collapsed. The youngster is understood to be furious over the whole saga.

However, regardless of the club following up their interest in the Sevilla ace, the aforementioned league rivals have come into the fray for Jules’ signature.

In spite of the interest from the London pair, it’s not clear whether he’s keen on joining them.

It’ll be one to keep an eye out for as Kounde wants to move but sides might shirk a bit at that significant exit clause.
