This campaign, Zaniolo is fit again – but manager Jose Mourinho is not using him week in, week out. While the youngster has been a regular, he has completed 90 minutes in just four of his 16.

The same report adds that Zaniolo is open to a transfer and the Roma board would sell him for a sum of £33.5 million – with the Red Devils, I Bianconeri and Spurs keen.

Domestic rivals considering paying in excess of £33m for Man Utd target

Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly interested in landing Roma midfielder and Manchester United target Nicolo Zaniolo ahead of the January transfer market.

Manager Antonio Conte has been tipped to set their sights on the Serie A market for new players in the new year, and the Italian is said to be monitoring the Italian ace’s situation under head coach Jose Mourinho.

According to an Italian media outlet Calciomercato, the 22-year-old star is unhappy to have started on the bench in I Giallorossi’s last two league matches versus Venezia and Genoa and the player recently had a small ‘quarrel’ with ex-Spurs and Red Devils manager Mourinho in training.

The report goes on to say that the talented youngster is valued by the club at around €40 million (£33.6 million), a figure which the English giants would be ready to pay for him.

Spurs may, however, face stiff competition from the Old Trafford side, who Zaniolo would be keen on joining, while Roma’s league rivals Juventus have also been touted with an interest.

Nicolo who has just over two years remaining on his current deal at the Stadio Olimpico has made 84 appearances in all competitions for the Rome-based giants, scoring 15 goals and picking up eight assists.

Man Utd not giving up on Roma sensation despite being out of action

Manchester United are allegedly still interested in signing Roma playmaker Nicolo Zaniolo.

The 21-year-old hasn’t played a single minute of football for his Italian team this campaign due to a serious knee injury, and Nicolo is unlikely to return before the end of the season.

Zaniolo has netted 14 times and registered six assists in 69 matches for Roma, though, and has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United over the last 12 months or so.

According to a report from La Repubblica, there is still interest from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, who have previously explored the possibility of an exchange involving out-of-favour midfielder Donny van de Beek.

The report states that Roma are determined to keep hold of Nicolo, while a move for the Netherlands international to Italy could prove difficult due to his substantial wages at Old Trafford.

The highly-rated Italy international has a contract with the Rome-based heavyweights until June 2024.

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in bringing Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back and long-term Manchester United target Ben White to Signal Iduna Park during this summer’s transfer market.

The 23-year-old star has been in impressive form for the Seagulls during the 2020-21 season, making 35 appearances in all competitions, and the Englishman has a contract at the Amex until June 2024.

Man Utd interested in signing towering Italian playmaker

Manchester United have set their sights on AS Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo, according to a recent report from Il Messaggero.

With a host of European sides still licking their wounds after the economic devastation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Manchester United value the Italian around €30 million, and they are ready to offer a handsome €5 million per year salary for the player if he agrees to transfer to England this summer.

AS Roma don’t have any intention of offloading their prized asset, with the club chiefs viewing Nicolo as the face of the their long-term future.

However, the said financial issues may ultimately force their hand, as Paulo Fonseca’s team do need to sell a few of their key men to balance the books following a disastrous 2020.

In addition to the market situation, injuries have also played a key role in Nicolo’s lowered valuation as the Italian ace has suffered from the recurring ACL injury Zaniolo endured at the start of last year.

It initially kept the player out on the sidelines for six months, but a repeat injury in September ruled him out till April.

His experience with the ACL injury has raised question marks regarding his fitness, especially in the long run, although it doesn’t seem to bother Manchester United.

For a sum of just €30 million, the Red Devils believe they could get a real bargain in the market as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes to add more reinforcements in the creative unit.

Liverpool seriously considering clinching Nicolo Zaniolo transfer

Tuttosport are reporting that Liverpool are ‘hot’ on the Roma’s youngster, Nicolo Zaniolo’s trail, even if the Serie A outfit’s management ideally would want to keep the player around.

I Giallorossi, who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, are going to try and get rid of a host of players on hefty wages this summer, with names such as Steven Nzonzi, Juan Jesus and Javier Pastore all prime expendables.

That means the club might have to get sell some more valuable assets, like Patrik Schick or Cengiz Under to make the money.

However, if the club fail to manage that, then it will be Zaniolo’s turn, as they know he is a player likely to attract potential buyers if put on the market.

That’s where the Reds come in, as the Rome-based giants’ stance about their starlet could change as the summer goes on, and it is the Anfield side ‘in particular’ who would be keen outside of Italy.

Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus are their prime competition, but with Roma not listening to cash offers below €60 million should they decide to sell, it is a difficult situation for Italian clubs.

In other news, Liverpool are once again mentioned with Kalidou Koulibaly, this time by an Italian outlet Il Mattino.

The story is brought via AreaNapoli, who explain the player’s entourage Fali Ramadani recently travelled to Naples to inform the player of interest from several clubs.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are named as the major clubs involved, with some level of interest also coming from Newcastle United and Manchester City.

Liverpool still eye £54m summer deal for towering Italian midfielder

Liverpool are allegedly keeping a close eye on developments surrounding Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo.

The 20-year-old playmaker has previously been linked with a switch to Tottenham Hotspur, but the Lilywhites have supposedly decided versus making a move for Zaniolo in the current economic climate.

However, I Giallorossi will supposedly have to cash in on some of their players this summer amid the financial woes arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, and according to Tuttosport, the Reds are weighing up a move for Zaniolo.

The report claims that Paulo Fonseca’s side do not wish to part company with one of their most prized assets, but the Italian outfit will demand a fee of €60 million (£54m) if they are forced to sell.

Nicolo turned out 18 times for Roma in Serie A before suffering a cruciate ligament rupture (ACL), and the Italy international still has four years left to run on his existing deal with I Giallorossi.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to battle Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United for the signature of Bayer Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz.

The 21-year-old midfielder has scored 15 times and registered eight assists in 38 games for Leverkusen this season, following on from the 20 goals that he managed across all competitions during the 2018-19 campaign.

Chelsea and United have both been heavily linked with the Germany international ahead of this summer’s transfer market, which could run until October due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

However, according to The Sun, the Galacticos are also firmly in the hunt for the versatile playmaker.

Liverpool will be able to sign Italy ace if they include Dejan Lovren in deal

Italian source Il Sussidario have claimed that AS Roma may look to help Liverpool finalise a move for wonderkid Nicolo Zaniolo, by proposing a player-plus-cash deal that sees defender Dejan Lovren go the other way.

The 20-year-old has continued his burgeoning reputation this campaign with another excellent season – netting six goals in 24 league and cup games. in spite of his tender age, he has already clocked up 60 matches at senior level.

Certainly, Nicolo has thrown himself onto the shortlists of a host of English clubs over the past couple of markets and Liverpool are being strongly linked this summer. He has a contract at I Giallorossi until the summer of 2024.

The report states that Zaniolo is valued between £45 million and £54 million, but the club stand little chance of bringing that figure in for the Italian – given the financial restraints placed on teams due to the global health crisis.

A solution could be found with I Giallorossi keen on signing Lovren. The defender is set to enter the final one year of his contract, and Roma are willing to include the Croatian star in a deal to reduce the cash fee for Zaniolo.

Liverpool are set to wave goodbye to Dejan sooner rather than later, with the chances of the former Lyon and Southampton star earning a new contract very slim. Instead of losing him for free, his value could be helpful.

Throwing him in a deal for Nicolo – perhaps to replace loanee Chris Smalling if they cannot fund a deal for the Englishman – would make complete sense.
