Premier League rivals make proposal for Man Utd contract rebel

West Ham United are allegedly set to lodge an offer for Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard. After racking up 232 appearances for the club, Lingard will depart Old Trafford at the end of June following the conclusion of his deal.

With the player set to become available, the Hammers are expected to make the England international an offer to bring him back to the London Stadium for a second stint following a loan period in the 2020-21 term.

According to the Daily Mail, the Irons are in pole position to land the attacker, with manager David Moyes making it clear that he is keen to bring the out-of-contract man back to the capital.

Lingard netted nine goals in just 16 Premier League outings on loan during the second half of the 2020-21 term – more than he has bagged in his past three seasons at the Theatre of Dreams combined.

The 29-year-old misfit started just two top-flight games for his boyhood club during the 2021-22 season, while Lingard’s only two goals of the campaign came back in November.

Elsewhere, Manchester United are in discussions with Lazio regarding the potential signing of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Ekrem Konur states.

The club have been long-time admirers of the Serbian star, who has recorded nine goals and 12 assists in 43 outings across all competitions this term.

Premier League rivals make transfer decision on 29-year-old Man Utd star

Newcastle United are supposedly no longer keen on signing Manchester United star Jesse Lingard.

The 29-year-old was heavily linked with a loan move to Eddie Howe’s side in January, but the Magpies were not willing to pay the £16 million loan fee that the Red Devils were thought to be demanding for the player’s services.

His present contract at the club is due to expire next month, and Jesse is incredibly unlikely to sign an extension, with the Englishman set to be available for nothing.

The Toons were believed to be the frontrunners for the attacker, with their recent takeover making the club one of the wealthiest in world football.

However, according to a report from The Telegraph, Howe’s team won’t be pursuing the Manchester United academy graduate this summer despite Lingard’s availability on a free transfer.

The report adds that he wants wages in excess of £150,000 per week, in addition to a large signing-on sum, from his next club.

The Premier League outfit are allegedly not willing to make him their highest-paid player, while Jesse’s demands are too high to fit into the wage structure, which won’t be excessive in spite of their recent takeover.

Serie A duo keeping tabs on out-of-favour Man Utd playmaker

Manchester United star Jesse Lingard is reportedly being closely tracked by the Serie A giants Juventus and AC Milan.

The 29-year-old is out of contract at the Theatre of Dreams this summer and is set to depart in search of more game time.

The attacker has spent over 20 years at Old Trafford, having come through the club’s youth sector, making more than 200 appearances and lifting three major trophies.

According to ESPN, I Bianconrei and I Rossoneri have registered an interest in snapping him up on a free transfer but will face stern competition from a host of Premier League clubs.

In January, the playmaker was close to signing for Newcastle United on loan but the transfer was blocked by the team’s interim manager Ralf Rangnick who decided to keep the Englishman as another option for the run-in.

In his time with United, he has failed to become a regular starter with his best season in a red shirt being 2018 when the player made 33 division appearances under then-manager Jose Mourinho.

In recent terms, Jesse has played a squad role but shone during a loan stint at the Irons last term when he netted nine goals in 16 games.

English duo could be handed Man Utd contract extensions

Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford could allegedly be given the opportunity to revive their Manchester United careers under the Dutch tactician Erik ten Hag.

Marcus’ long-term future has been the subject of intense speculation in the latest months, with the Englishman struggling to make his mark during the 2021-22 season.

Meanwhile, Jesse has found it difficult to break into the first XI this term in spite of enjoying a productive loan stint at West Ham United in the second half of the previous season.

His contract at Old Trafford is due to run out at the end of June, but according to a report from The Sun, the midfielder could be handed a fresh contract if the incoming manager decides that he wants to retain his services.

The report adds that Rashford has already been informed that he’ll have the chance to make his mark under the new boss next term.

The struggling frontman has managed just five goals and two assists in 32 outings at club level this campaign.

His contract at the Theatre of Dreams is due to expire in 2023, but United have the option of triggering a one-year extension, while there have been reports of a renewal for the attacker.

Attacker looks set to depart Man Utd when his contract runs out

Jesse Lingard is supposedly resigned to quitting Manchester United at the end of the season, with the star not interested in discussing a new deal.

The 29-year-old player has struggled to make his mark for his boyhood club during the 2021-22 term, contributing just two goals and one assist in 22 outings in all competitions.

His contract in Manchester is due to run out at the end of June, but a recent report stated that incoming manager Erik ten Hag was keen to speak to the player about his future.

The Dutchman is allegedly open to discussing a renewal with the Englishman, who came through the youth system at the Red Devils.

However, according to BBC Sport, Jesse has no intention of speaking to still Ajax boss, and he’s preparing to seek pastures new in the summer.

The report adds that Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, Juventus and Newcastle United have already been in contact with the attacker’s entourage to register their interest.

Lingard is said to have been furious that he wasn’t given the chance to say goodbye to the Man United supporters during Monday’s PL clash with Brentford at the Theatre of Dreams, and Jesse’s brother posted a message on social media criticising United for not allowing him to bid farewell to the fans.

Man Utd icon makes prediction over future of English midfielder

Paul Scholes thinks Erik ten Hag could prevent outcast Jesse Lingard from leaving Manchester United in the summer and says the England star might suit the Dutch tactician’s style of play.

Erik will end his five-year partnership with Ajax at the end of the term when he takes over at the Theatre of Dreams on a three-year deal.

He is expected to implement a demanding and vibrant style of football at Old Trafford and has already warned his new stars that ‘no concessions’ will be made as ten Hag looks to bring success back to United.

One star who could be set to benefit from his arrival is Jesse, with Paul insisting Lingard could be just the player the Red Devils’ new boss turns to.

Scholes also says his former club have treated the academy graduate ‘pretty poorly’ but says the playmaker could revive his career at the club under incoming manager.

Manchester United legend said on talkSPORT: ‘I think Jesse has been treated pretty poorly by the club, to be honest.

‘He was ready to sign for Newcastle at one point and West Ham, right at the end of deadline day and he was told he was going to get more minutes. That clearly hasn’t happened. He’s deserved a chance.

‘We all saw what he did at West Ham. He’s a really good footballer and can bring goals to a team and with this team playing so poorly as well, for him not to get a chance… I think he’s unfairly treated.

‘I think he might suit him [Ten Hag] and he might want to keep him. We will see what happens. It’s obvious he never wants to leave Manchester United, and if this manager wants him then why wouldn’t he stay?’

Roma keeping close eye on out-of-favour Man Utd attacker

Jesse Lingard could reportedly link back up with former manager Jose Mourinho at the Serie A club Roma in the summer.

The star has spent much of this term on the bench at Manchester United after the Englishman was refused the chance to depart on loan in January.

However, his deal runs out in two months’ time and he won’t be signing an extension which means the 29-year-old is free to move on.

The Mirror report there are three teams in the race to land him with West Ham United and Newcastle United having already made proposals to his agent, while I Giallorossi are also sounding out a summer move.

The Italians are currently managed by the Special One, who Jesse enjoyed a good relationship with at Old Trafford when the Portuguese tactician was boss between 2016 and 2018.

In the latest years, other England internationals such as Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham have also sealed the move to Serie A.

It is said those looking to sign Jesse may have to stump up nearly £150,000 per week in wages and bonuses to snap him up.

He caught the eye of many potential buyers during a loan spell with the Hammers last season when he netted nine goals in 16 appearances.

UCL giants consider raid for out-of-favour Man Utd player

Juventus have reportedly joined the hunt for Manchester United star Jesse Lingard, who now has three clubs to choose from in Serie A.

He’s approaching the end of his deal with the Red Devils. After finding minutes hard to come by at Old Trafford, it seems likely he’ll walk away.

Indeed, a fresh report from the Daily Mirror named Jesse as one of six stars who will be departing the club without a transfer sum.

Now, the same report has shed more light on where the playmaker might end up. According to the newspaper, three Italian outfits are competing for the out of contract player’s signature.

The admirers in question are Roma, AC Milan and Juventus. A report in March confirmed the star had been offered to I Giallorossi and I Rossoneri, but the link with I Bianconeri appears to be fresher.

The Turin-based giants are aiming to take another contract rebel Paul Pogba back from the Premier League giants on a free transfer in the summer and they could launch a similar move for Jesse.

However, Lingard’s preference may be to choose Jose Mourinho’s side instead due to the presence of the former United boss at the Stadio Olimpico side.
