Arsenal given fresh hope of landing 27-year-old Italy international

Arsenal-linked forward Andrea Belotti is no closer to penning a new contract at Torino, according to a fresh report.

The Italy international striker has plied his trade in Turin for the past six seasons following his 2015 transfer from Palermo, chalking up 106 goals in 231 outings for the club across all tournaments.

However, Belotti’s deal with Il Toro is set to expire at the end of the current season, and according to a report from an Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato, ‘everything is silent’ with regards to contract renewal.

The Gunners were tipped to move for Andrea over the summer, and the north Londoners could be in the market for a new marksman in 2022, with Alexandre Lacazette extremely likely to leave on a free transfer.

The report also says that AC Milan and Inter Milan will both hope to keep the player in Serie A, though, while Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid have also been touted with an interest.

Belotti scored on the opening day of the 2021-22 Serie A campaign against Atalanta, but the star has since missed five matches with a tendon problem and also missed his country’s UEFA Nations League semi-final with Spain on Wednesday.

€35m-rated Torino key man could become Arsenal player next year

Arsenal have identified Andrea Belotti, as a direct replacement for the France international Alexandre Lacazette, who is set to depart the Emirates next summer, a fresh report from Fichajes says.

The 27-year-old Torino star is also expected to quit the club next summer, as he is ready for a fresh challenge. He’ll be available for free as well, considering the fact that his deal expires at the end of the term.

It has put Mikel Arteta’s side on red alert, with the Premier League heavyweights eyeing a Bosman swoop for the Italian striker.

Formerly of Palermo, Andrea is a widely respected figure at Il Toro because of his years of service since signing for them in 2015.

In six years, the striker has made 231 competitive appearances for Torino, scoring 106 goals while grabbing 28 assists.

He’s also closing in on 100 goals in the top-flight alone, having netted six times during his previous stint at Palermo.

In addition to Andrea’s success in Serie A, the player has also been capped 39 times by his country’s national side, scoring 12 goals.

Belotti was notably a part of the Azurri roster that lifted the UEFA Euro 2020 trophy in the summer, even though he played second fiddle to Lazio’s Ciro Immobile.

Arsenal target late move to land 27-year-old Serie A striker

Arsenal might look to land Andrea Belotti in this transfer market if one of their forwards leave, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The 27-year-old Torino attacker could be a cheaper alternative to some of the Gunners’ primary targets from Serie A.

However, a transfer could be dependent on the futures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

The Frenchman has been linked with a transfer away from the Emirates. He has a year left on his contract, and there are no signs of an extension being offered by the club.

While Mikel Arteta likes him and wants to keep the player around, a move could be possible if an acceptable offer comes in.

Arsenal were preparing for any eventuality and were keen on Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez.

Both those forwards are expensive options, and having already spent nearly £129m on transfers, the Gunners could look at other players to curb their spending.

Andrea Belotti’s name has been linked as an option. Once on top of every elite club’s wishlist, the Italy international striker has seemingly suffered a dip in showings.

With a year left on his Torino deal, the Serie A club could sell their captain a right offer arrives.

The Russian Premier League outfit Zenit St. Petersburg are interested, but the player is not sold on heading to Russia.

He has informed that the club that he is ready to stay, something which could prove to be a problem for the club.

Arsenal discover asking price for Italy and Torino forward

Torino have slashed a price tag of €35 million (£30 million) on Andrea Belotti, who is a summer target for Arsenal, according to a recent report from an Italian source Calciomercato.

In the 2020/21 season, the 27-year-old Italian managed to find the back of the net on 13 occasions in 36 matches in all competitions.

The forward is in the final year of his current deal and has seemingly set his sights on a fresh challenge.

However, club chairman Urbano Cairo wasn’t willing to consider the prospect of selling the club captain this summer.

But that seems to have changed now, with the latest comments from chief Ivan Juric hinting at the possibility of an exit for his player, while Cairo himself is now understood to be ready to part ways with the 27-year-old.

This is certain to come as great news for Mikel Arteta’s side, who have been linked with a swoop for the striker.

While midfield and defence are set to be the primary focus for Arsenal, the centre-forward role is also something of concern.

It has emerged that I Granata will demand a transfer sum in the range of €35 million (£30 million) for the star forward, which shouldn’t be a problem for the north London giants.

Arsenal-linked striker delays contract talks with Serie A club

Arsenal linked forward Andrea Belotti is in no hurry to pen a new contract with Torino and could still depart this summer if the right offer comes along.

He has been a consistent goalscorer in Serie A in spite of playing for a middling club such as I Granata and has often been linked with a transfer away.

Multiple big clubs have looked at him in the latest years without signing him and his future at the club is again under the scanner this summer.

Andrea is in the final year of his deal at Torino and the Italian club are interested in seeing him sign a new contract in order to protect his market valuation.

But according to Italian publication Tuttosport, the player is in no hurry to sign on fresh terms with his team at the moment.

He is poised to return to pre-season training with the Olympic Grande Torino Stadium outfit but signing a new contract hasn’t crossed his mind.

Andrea wants to see whether an elite club make a proposal for him as he could still leave if the Serie A side receive the right bid.

The striker is ready to walk away on a free transfer at the end of next campaign. Arsenal have been mentioned with an interest in the forward but thus far, he has no offers on his table.

Arsenal once again linked with £29m Italy and Torino attacker

Arsenal have entered the race to sign Torino forward Andrea Belotti, according to a report in Italy.

A busy summer is expected in North London with Mikel Arteta eager to make up to five major acquisitions before the start of the 2021-22 term.

A striker could be among the boss’ targets with the Gunners among the clubs keen on signing Italy international Belotti, according to Tuttosport.

The 27-year-old star has one year left on his deal with Torino now ready to cash in on the star, setting their asking price at €34 million (£29m).

Jose Mourinho’s Roma, Fiorentina, Napoli and AC Milan are also said to be interested in landing the striker.

Arsenal have previously been keen on bringing in Belotti and saw a £56 million bid rejected by Torino four years ago.

‘We received and refused a €65m (£56m) offer from Arsenal for Andrea Belotti, but it does not reflect the value of the player,’ the club’s former sporting director Gianluca Petrachi said at the time.

Arsenal are prepared to sell a couple of first-team players as part of Mikel’s shake-up this summer with Alexandre Lacazette reportedly among them.

While the Frenchman finished as the club’s top scorer last term, he is not currently tied down to a long-term contract with his current deal set to expire next summer.
