Arsenal keen on to agree deal for 27-year-old Lazio star

Arsenal have prepared to make a move for Lazio’s midfield star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to a report.

The 27-year-old star has long been rumoured with a switch to a host of Europe’s top teams, however, no move has yet materialised, leaving him to enjoy a successful seven-year period in Lazio thus far.

The North London giants are believed to be interested in strengthening their midfield area this summer, with the likes of Youri Tielemans being rumoured with a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Wolves star Ruben Neves has also been on the shortlist of Mikel Arteta, however, Corriere dello Sport are claiming that Arsenal are now keeping close tabs on Milinkovic-Savic.

The report also outlines apparent interest from Newcastle United, however, that the midfielder is set to snub interest from the following to his interest in joining a ‘top’ side instead.

Regardless, the Gunners are set to bid around £42m for Milinkovic-Savic according to the report, however, Lazio are believed to be holding out for a fee of around £55m for their star player, who has two years left before the contract ends.

Milinkovic-Savic could well be a potential replacement for Granit Xhaka who has been rumoured with a switch to AS Roma.

Arsenal leading race to sign 22-year-old Fulham forward

There is significant interest from PL teams in Manor Solomon, as Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Everton are all eying the attacker. Currently, his status at Shakhtar is unknown, but reports suggest he would be available for a move. Israel international has been garnering rave reviews in the last couple of years for his displays with the Miners.

However, since the beginning of the Ukraine-Russian conflict, footballing action in the country has stopped, which has rendered many footballers, including Solomon, on the sidelines.

While footballers from the Ukrainian and Russian leagues were allowed to join teams anywhere else in Europe until the end of the campaign, Manor remained inactive. But the 22-year-old winger could be a big attraction this summer.

With Manor’s deal with the Ukrainian club ready to expire in 2023, the chances of leaving the team are high, and a move to England could be on the cards. Solomon has also been heavily linked with a transfer to Italy, but the PL could be a more attractive prospect to further his career.

Manor has been linked with the Gunners before, with Arsenal always keen on signing young, exciting talents. While Arsenal showed an interest in Solomon in winter, they can reignite their interest now. The Spanish manager has been searching for a new wide attacker, and Manor’s versatility could be what the Arsenal coach needs.

Arsenal keen on to sign Bundesliga 25-year-old Dortmund star

Manuel Akanji is free to leave Borussia Dortmund, and Arsenal have been offered the opportunity to add the centre-back. Recent central defensive additions at the Bundesliga giants have left Switzerland international out of favour for the next campaign.

The Gunners are active in the current transfer market to bring in quality footballers in different positions, but central defence isn’t one of them. Instead, the Spanish manager wants to add a new centre-forward, midfielder, full-back and probably a wide forward in the window.

They are reportedly close to signing Tielemans and Gabriel Jesus in the next weeks if things go well. One area the Spanish manager is least worried about is central defence. The Gunners are well stocked in the area and might focus their attempts on other positions.

The Gunners might have been looking for a new defender if the situation with Saliba was different. Instead, the French centre-back confirmed his intention over a return to Arsenal and will now compete with Holding, White and Gabriel for a spot in the club.

While the Gunners were interested in Akanji just about a month ago, along with Man United, they may not need him anymore. Manuel has been a solid footballer for Borussia Dortmund, but the club are seemingly heading in another direction, away from the defender.

As Borussia Dortmund have already signed Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Sule for the next campaign, the Swiss defender is surplus to requirements and is free to leave the German club if a sizeable offer comes in.

Arsenal and Liverpool in talks to agree deal for Fenerbahce wonderkid

Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly interested in securing the services of Fenerbahce playmaker Arda Guler this summer.

The 17-year-old wonderkid has enjoyed a breakout campaign with the Turkish giants, founding back of the net three times in 14 ga,es for the club.

Guler also notched three assists despite starting only two appearances for his side last campaign, resulting in the youngster being compared to ex-Arsenal and Fenerbahce midfielder Mesut Ozil following to his passing ability.

According to The Mirror, the Reds and the Gunners are weighing up a move for Guler, who has three years left before his deal expires with Fenerbahce.

While the Merseyside Reds have shown an interest, Mikel Arteta’s side are already starting the process to secure the services of Guler in the summer as they look to fight off competition for the player’s services.

The Turkish prospect would also bring European experience to any side after featuring in Europa League qualifying and the Europa Conference League last season.

Arsenal have already secured the services of Porto midfielder Fabio Vieira and are on the verge to announce the transfer of Gabriel Jesus, while Jurgen Klopp’s side lured Darwin Nunez at Anfield.

French giants in talks to agree terms for Arsenal 21-year-old star

Ligue 1 giants, Marseille are ‘surprisingly optimistic’ they can seal a deal to re-sign French defender, William Saliba from Arsenal.

Despite signing the defender from Saint-Etienne back in 2019 for a fee of £27million, he is yet to make his competitive debut for the North London giants.

Saliba has been on a number of loan spells since then, including an initial switch back to Saint-Etienne and further stints in France with Marseille and Nice.

Most recently, the 21-year-old enjoyed his most successful loan spell, were he has managed to claim the Ligue 1 Player of the Year Award while at Marseille and also earning a spot in Didier Deschamps’ France team.

Now, French towering defender is back at the Gunners and has impressed during the Gunners’ pre-season games.

The 21-year-old defender has looked solid and composed at the back, and has been deemed ‘ready’ by head-coach Mikel Arteta.

‘I am really pleased to see the way he is playing, the way he has adapted to the team, the maturity that he’s shown at 21 years old, carry on doing it,’ Arteta said after Arsenal’s pre-season win over Chelsea last weekend.

‘We will keep developing him, he has huge potential, he is already a top player and we have to make him even better.

‘He looked ready to me today.’

Saliba is clearly in the manager’s plans for the 2022/23 season, and his debut could come as quickly as the opening game of the new season against Crystal Palace next Friday.

However, reports earlier this week suggested that Marseille president Pablo Longoria travelled to London for talks with the 21-year-old’s agent over a prospective transfer.

And now, L’Equipe report that Ligue 1 giants, Marseille are still keeping tabs on Saliba’s situation and are ‘surprisingly optimistic’ about their chances of signing the defender again.

The Gunners have been busy in the summer, with deals secured for Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Marquinhos and Matt Turner.

Meanwhile, the North London giants are looking to move on a number of players who have been deemed surplus to requirements, including the likes of Lucas Torreira, Hector Bellerin and Berns Leno.

Deal On: Juventus told to pay £43m for Arsenal defender

Arsenal have repportedly slapped £43m price tag on Gabriel Magalhaes.

The North London giants have enjoyed a successful summer transfer window thus far with Brazilian centre-forawrd Gabriel Jesus joining the likes of Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos in making the move to the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta is now believed to turn his attention to the defensive third of the pitch with the North London outfit currently attempting to secure the services Lisandro Martinez from Ajax who has been also a top target for Man Utd.

However, the Gunners may still face a fight to retain the services of their main centre-back Gabriel, who is believed to have an admirer in Juventus.

According to Calciomercato, Mikel Arteta’s side would not consider parting ways with the South American centre-back unless they receive an offer upwards of £43m.

Gabriel played 35 games in the Premier League last campaigns as his side narrowly missed out on securing a return to the Champions League.

With three years left on his current deal, the Gunners are under no pressure to part ways with one of their key assets, however, there is theoretically the realistic option of making a substantial profit on a player who cost £27m plus add-ons two years ago.

Arsenal keeping close eye on Serie A in-demand defender

Arsenal are ready to join the race for Udinese full-back Nahuel Molina and compete with Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid for his signature.

That is according to Tuttosport, who report the Gunners and Barcelona are prepared to make their swoop for the 24-year-old Argentine star.

They report that Los Rojiblancos are making progress on him, who is also a target for Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus as they aim to improve their right wing.

He has been earning admirers this term courtesy of his performance with I Friulani, which have seen him register seven goals and four assists in 33 matches in all competitions.

Those displays haven’t gone unnoticed, and according to the outlet, Mikel Arteta’s side and Blaugrana are ready to enter the hunt.

There is no mention of an asking price for the player, but Gabriele Cioffi and co. are in no rush to cash in on the player as the club have him tied down to a deal until June 2026 anyway.

That means the board can ask whatever they like for Molina, who arrived on a free transfer from the South American outfit Boca Juniors’ B team back in September 2020.

The Londoners might have to dig deep if the management want him, particularly considering the competition that apparently exists in the market.

Arsenal 22-year-old star on the verge to depart from team

Daniel Ballard has agreed a move to Championship outfits Sunderland after a move to Burnley fell through earlier last week.

The 22-year-old defender has spent time on loan at Swindon Town and Blackpool before playing 31 games in the Championship for Millwall last campaign.

The Northern Ireland international has never made a senior appearance for the North London giants and his stay at the club is close to an end as he prepares to move north.

The Athletic claims that Ballard very nearly joined Burnley last week, however, terms could not be agreed despite significant talks taking place.

The likes of ex-club Blackpool and Sheffield United were believed to be interested in his services, however, it is newly-promoted club, Sunderland who have won the race for his signature.

Despite never making the cut for Arsenal, Ballard has proved himself on the international stage, already picking up 15 caps for Northern Ireland and scoring two goals.

Former Northern Ireland centre-back Gareth McAuley reckoned Ballard was good enough to play in Gunner’s defence last campaign, especially after the Gunners had made a disappointing start to the season.

‘If I were Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, I’d be recalling Daniel Ballard from his loan spell at Millwall and placing young Northern Ireland international in my struggling Gunners team,’ he told the Belfast Telegraph in September last year.

‘I know Daniel isn’t Mikel’s type of defender — he probably doesn’t match his philosophy in how he wants the game to be played — but maybe he should be with the way Arsenal have started their season.

‘Daniel just keeps on getting better and better with every game he plays in, especially on the international scene.’

Serie A giants keen on to agree terms for Arsenal 24-year-old centre-back

Serie A giants, Juventus have identified Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes as a possible replacement for Matthijs De Ligt who has been rumoured with a switch to Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

The Dutchman is in talks with the German and Spanish giants and he looks certain to depart from Juventus this summer and Turin club now have to look elsewhere to strengthen their backline.

The 24-year-old Brazilian defender has enjoyed two stunning seasons under Mikel Arteta since arriving from Ligue 1 gaints, Lille for a fee which could reach £27m.

The report from Italy claims that Gabriel would cost Juve €40m (£33.8m) during the current transfer window, although that seems like quite a conservative estimate given that he has three years left on his team contract and it would not amount to much of a profit for the North London giants.

Juventus are also interested in securing the services of Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly, Gleison Bremer from Torino and Monaco’s Benoit Badiashile.

However, Koulibaly is more likely to depart from Serie A for Chelsea.

Gabriel has made no suggestion that he is keen to depart from Arsenal, however, Juve can offer Champions League football, which he is yet to experience with the North London giants.

Arsenal considering move for creative Brazilian midfielder

Arsenal sporting director Edu has told Lyon playmaker Lucas Paqueta that his team are ready to make a move for him during the current transfer window, according to reports in Brazil.

The South American midfielder was one of Lyon’s key performers last campaign as he has managed to found back of the net nine times and provided six assists in the French top-tier.

The North London giants have already strengthened Mikel Arteta’s midfield options with the £34 million addition of Fabio Vieira from Portugues giants, Porto last month.

However, according to Goal Brazil, the Gunners are also interested in adding Paqueta and Edu has told the playmaker’s agents that they want to make a formal offer ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The report suggests that Lyon are demanding €80 million (£67.6m) fee and Arsenal are keeping tabs on Paqueta’s situation.

Newcastle have also been rumoured with a move for the 24-year-old star, however, have not submitted an offer.

Speaking at the weekend, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed that Paqueta has already attracted interest this summer.

‘There are proposals for him,’ said Aulas.

‘There are certain players who can feel complete in the project, and others who don’t.

‘Economically, we have the means to pursue our ideas and objectives.

‘The coach gave us his opinion and there is also what the players wants to do.’
