Xherdan Shaqiri could reportedly move to Galatasaray in the January transfer market, with the Turkish giants optimistic of getting their man.

That’s according to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik, via Sport Witness, who claim they will hold negotiations with the winger as early as next week.

Shaqiri is said to be open to the idea of leaving Anfield, despite a star showing versus Everton on Wednesday night.

The Swiss was brilliant in the Reds’ 5-2 win at Anfield, netting his side’s second goal and producing some lovely pieces of skill.

Xherdan would likely only move on loan in the winter, with an option for the Super Lig club to buy next summer.

Had this rumour emerged before the Everton match, many Liverpool fans may not have been unhappy to hear it.

Xerhdan showed what a good player he is in the Merseyside derby, however, outlining the quality the Swiss can continue to bring as a roster player.

With a lack of football clearly a possible issue though, it is understandable why the 28-year-old forward may be weighing up a move.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are reportedly prepared to put together a proposal of £100m plus two stars for Paris Saint-Germain forward and Liverpool transfer target Kylian Mbappe.

In spiteo f still having over two-and-a-half years remaining on his deal, Mbappe has been heavily connected with a move to either Liverpool or Real Madrid in recent months.

However, according to El Chiringuito TV, Blaugrana intend to rival their European rivals for the 20-year-old forward’s services.
