Tottenham are ready to rival Liverpool and Manchester United for the landing of Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.
Spurs are planning to sign a new centre-back with the futures of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in the air.
Jan will see his deal expire at the end of June and negotiations over a fresh deal are yet to begin.
And while Alderweireld penned a new contract this summer, rumours regarding his future have continued.
Jose Mourinho has long held an interest in Napoli defender Koulibaly.
He tried to land the centre-back at Chelsea and United when Jose was in charge.
Every time, Partenopei stood firm and slapped huge asking prices on the Senegalese star every summer.
And according to Il Mattano via Sport Witness, Tottenham are set to rival the Reds and the Red Devils for Koulibaly’s signature.
Kalidou has been at the top of his game for a few seasons now and is regarded as one of the best central defenders in the world.
It was also reported that an Italian outlet Napoli Magazine have suggested Jurgen Klopp’s side are serious about Koulibaly, which could see the Anfield outfit form a stunning relationship between the African colossus and Virgil van Dijk.
It is believed Kalidou is worth a whopping £90 million but Liverpool are reluctant to pay that figure – and would rather include a deal in which the club pay around £53 million and include striker Origi in a deal.
Divock is one of six players to be linked with an Anfield exit, as per the Mirror.
