Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly not pursuing a summer deal for Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho – but Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are.
Liverpool sold the player to Barcelona in January transfer window of 2018, pocketing a huge £142m from the sale and using it to bolster the squad.
Now, Brazil international may depart the La Liga heavyweights having struggled for consistency and form throughout his time at Blaugrana so far.
The Reds were recently backed to tempt Coutinho away from Barcelona in the summer, with Jurgen Klopp supposedly prepared to snap him up.
However, Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo say that the Brazil star is not on the Reds’ transfer radar for the summer.
Yet it is stated the Red Devils, Blues and Parisians have all expressed an interest in the Barcelona misfit.
Coutinho to Anfield outfit would make sense considering Jurgen Klopp’s eagerness to ensure the club do not rest on their laurels following their UEFA Champions League triumph.
But with Liverpool not interested in the player, that may now lead to Philippe heading elsewhere.
Coutinho won’t be joining United, though, with the star recently ruling out a move to Theatre of the Dreams because of his Liverpool past.
