Liverpool are allegedly keeping tabs on Sevilla attacker Youssef En-Nesyri ahead of a possible move in the summer transfer window.

According to 90min, the Reds and Manchester United have both asked to be updated on his current situation as the next transfer market draws closer, with West Ham also keen on the forward.

The report states that Sevilla are hopeful that Youssef will sign a new contract with the club, considering the striker is currently happy at the La Liga club.

The Reds have struggled to find a consistent scorer outside of Mohamed Salah this season, with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane both failing to hit double digits in the Premier League thus far.

Diogo Jota was threatening to become the Reds’ second-most productive forward earlier in the campaign, with nine goals in nine starts across the Champions League and Premier League, but has been out since the start of December with a knee injury.

Another striker who could come in and provide 15-20 goals a campaign for the Reds could be a huge boost to Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Not only could it ease the goalscoring burden from the Egyptian’s shoulders, but it could give Sadio and Roberto the freedom to not be weighed down by the pressure put on them to produce week-in-week-out in the PL and UCL.

Youssef has an incredible record for his side this season, with 12 goals in 16 starts as a centre-forward so far. He also has 17 goals across all competitions this term, with four of those coming in the UCL.

He could come in as the competition for the front three at first before being coached by Jurgen into becoming a starting XI calibre forward for Liverpool.
