Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais have reportedly set their asking price for Eduardo Camavinga amid speculation that Liverpool are interested.

AC Milan have also been repeatedly linked with a move for him, and RMC Sport (via TribalFootball) recently claimed that Milan have opened talks with the star’s entourage to gauge interest in a possible transfer to the San Siro.

However, then stated that Dortmund have now entered the running to sign the teenager, while the Reds, Barcelona and Manchester United have all been touted with interest by various sources too.

According to the latest report from an Italian website, Camavinga is a player who is admired by ‘half of Europe’, including Jurgen Klopp’s side because of his impressive exploits at such a young age.

The Anfield outfit are interested in securing the services of the talented midfielder in spite of their star-studded midfield.

Stade Rennais’ management know that they can potentially demand a huge sum for their prized young asset.

The outlet states that the Breton club have set a starting price of €60m for the 17-year-old talent.

In other news, former Netherlands midfielder Ruud Gullit has said that his compatriot Virgil van Dijk is the key reason that Liverpool have surpassed Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the PL.

Speaking to Omnisport, Ruud said: “A lot of teams don’t defend well. So, with Van Dijk, that was an issue that was done [solved]. Van Dijk was an example that I was right in Holland.

“If I say you have to learn how to defend people say, ‘You’re always with the defending’ and things like that.

“But that’s where it all started. Now they say you’re right, [you can have success] if you have a good defender, and the good thing is it was a Dutch defender.”
