Liverpool have reportedly submitted made an official offer to sign Paris FC and DR Congo striker Silas Wamangituka this summer transfer window.

According to the latest report from a French daily newspaper Le Parisien, Liverpool, as well as SL Benfica, have submitted official bids to try and land Wamangituka this summer.

The report also claims that the details of the Reds’ offer are unknown as of late, thus it will definitely be interesting to see how much Liverpool are willing to pay to bring the pacy forward to Anfield in the summer.

The youngster managed to register a total of 11 goals and two assists in 32 Ligue 2 matches last year, as he helped his side achieve the fourth-placed finish in the league.

Considering their depth in attack, it is unclear to see why Jurgen Klopp’s side are so keen to bring in a star of Wamangituka’s calibre.

The Reds already have players like Salah, Shaqiri, Firmino, Origi and Mane to choose from in the attack, and given this, we can not really see why Anfield outfit are so keen to land the 19-year-old.

In spite of this, should Liverpool be able to bring in Silas for a cheap price, there can not be any harm in bringing the Congolese star to Anfield this summer, even if it is just to make sure none of their rivals can get their hands on the player.

Meantime, Inter Milan are looking to bid as much as £80 million for LOSC Lille forward and Liverpool target Nicolas Pepe this summer, according to a French outlet France Football.
