Liverpool are reportedly expressing an interest in Bournemouth’s Lewis Cook.

According to the Daily Mail, the club are monitoring the central midfielder and he could be a possible target if he proves his form and fitness this campaign.

It is understood that Chelsea are also interested in the Premier League playmaker and are looking out for the best young British talent.

The report states that he has been likened to Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson because of his high work-rate, leadership and passing quality.

He is slowly working his way back from a long-term injury at the Cherries but has proven in the past he is a top emerging talent.

He’s played a major role in his country’s various youth teams in recent years and earned his sole senior cap last year under Gareth Southgate.

The 22-year-old Englishman can dictate play from the centre of the midfield with his great range of passing, but his recent injury means he has gone under the radar in terms of promising English aces.

Lewis Cook may not be a household name and surname yet, but there is certainly enormous potential in the midfielder and there is no reason he could not make the step up to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp has made so many astute acquisitions during his time in charge of the Merseyside outfit, as nobody was going too over the top when they brought in the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum, Joel Matip and Andy Robertson.

But Jurgen has built a brilliant Liverpool roster full of the right personalities and the fans should book a swoop for Lewis Cook if the boss deems fit.
