Liverpool may have missed out on signing Timo Werner, but they could still look to bring other forwards to Anfield this summer.

The Reds need a new attacker to come in, as Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino need competition.

Now, the Daily Mail report that Liverpool have Watford’s Ismaila Sarr on their radar this transfer window as Jurgen Klopp seeks a winger.

Sarr notably destroyed Liverpool back in February, registering two goals and an assist as his side inflicted a 3-0 defeat on the Reds.

The 22-year-old star impressed throughout the season but ultimately could not keep Watford in the Premier League.

Signed from Rennes last year, Sarr is unlikely to fancy playing in the EFL Championship, especially if elite clubs like Liverpool want him.

The Senegal international is quick and direct, whilst he can also play on either wing and is close friends with Liverpool star Mane.

Meanwhile, Thiago Alcantara is ‘very likely’ to part ways with Bayern Munich and join Liverpool this summer, Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo report.

Liverpool have been mentioned with a move for the Spanish star for a few weeks now, ever since it was revealed that Thiago has pulled out of contract negotiations with Bayern Munich.

The 29-year-old star has told Bayern that he will not be extending his existing deal, which expires next year, and as such, the Bundesliga giants are ready to cash in on him this summer.

The asking price for the player is reportedly around the €30 million mark, but Liverpool could face a battle to sign the Spaniard as PSG have also declared an interest in him.
