James Maddison is eyeing up a fresh deal at Premier League giants Leicester City, acting as a potential major blow to Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been seen as a potential future suitor for the youngster following some superb performance for the club this season.

Manchester United have also been connected, but it could be that James extends his stay at the King Power Stadium.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the playmaker is “considering signing a new contract”, in spite of the interest in him from bigger clubs.

James has been one of the PL’s brightest attacking players so far this season, inspiring the Foxes to second in the table.

The England international netted away to Liverpool back in October, but his compatriot James Milner’s late penalty earned the Reds a 2-1 win.

He’d be an excellent signing by the Reds. Creative, young and good off the ball, Maddison is tailor-made to thrive in a Jurgen Klopp team.

In other news, according to Transfermarkt, the Reds are interested in signing Karim Adeyemi.

The German Under-17 international has a number of possible suitors. Along with Liverpool, Arsenal are also said to be pursuing the youngster, as are Borussia Dortmund.

It is Barcelona, though, who currently lead the race, and the Catalan club are even said to have made a €15 million (£12.8m) offer for the RB Salzburg striker, who is currently on loan at FC Liefering in Austria’s second tier.
