Liverpool continue to be connected with a move for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.

And French football expert Julien Laurens has offered Liverpool a glimmer of hope when it comes to a world-class transfer.

As well as the Reds, Real Madrid are being touted as a possible destination for Mbappe, who is said to dream of plying his trade for the Spanish giants.

But Julien thinks if Jurgen Klopp’s side could stump up the cash, a deal for PSG wonderboy is possible.

“It’s pretty simple, if Liverpool can pay the €300m or maybe €350m with the bonuses, and put that on the table – which is what PSG will ask anyone to sign Mbappe,” Julien told ESPN FC.

“If Liverpool can afford that, plus give him the wages that he wants, he will consider that offer every single day of the week, because, yes Real Madrid is his dream and one day there is a certainty that he will play at the Bernabeu for Real Madrid.

“But he’s only 21 years of age so there is plenty of time for him to go and play in Madrid one day.”

Meanwhile, former Liverpool attacker Jermaine Pennant was removed midway through a show on Sky Sports News this week, report the Daily Mail.

This decision was made because Jermaine’s behaviour was deemed not to have met production standards.

It is reported that the former Reds player slurred his words while discussing transfers and as such, Jermaine was replaced by journalist David Reed during an advert break.
