Liverpool are keen on signing Everton’s central defender Jarrad Branthwaite, according to the Daily Mail.

It’s stated that Manchester United are particularly interested in Branthwaite having tracked the player’s progress on loan at Blackburn Rovers this year.

However, the report also claims that Manchester City are also chasing the signature of Branthwaite, alongside Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Everton only paid £1m for Branthwaite the previous year, luring him to the club having impressed in League Two with Carlisle United.

The 18-year-old ace impressed in limited appearances last campaign but has now been shipped out on loan to Blackburn Rovers after slipping down the pecking order.

He has been playing regularly for the Rovers side since his January transfer, and he is seemingly being tracked by the PL’s big boys.

As a left-footed and towering centre-half, Branthwaite ticks the boxes for many sides, including Liverpool, looking for a defender for the future.

Meantime, Liverpool are allegedly still tracking Udinese’s versatile midfielder, Rodrigo De Paul, ahead of a potential summer move.

The 26-year-old star was linked with the Anfield side during the January transfer market, while Leeds United have also previously been touted with an interest in the player.

According to Tutto Udinese, the Reds are still interested in the South American player and could make an attempt to land him during this summer’s transfer window.

Udinese have their key man on a contract until June 2024, though, and are not reportedly prepared to sell him unless they get an offer in the region of £35 million.
