After years of disappointment, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are finally in a position where the club can attract the best players in the game and one star they now have their eyes on is Italian prodigy, Federico Chiesa.

A transfer target for the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan, the 22-year-old ace is currently unsettled at Fiorentina, according to the latest reports from La Nazione (via Calciomercato), an Italian newspaper.

The story claims that Federico could leave the club in the near future and that Reds are the latest club to join the race for his services.

This season, Federico has three goals and four assists across all competitions and has been one of the most productive stars for his side in Italy.

The 17-times capped Italy international can replace either wide attacker but is also capable of playing in the no.9 role, as he has shown along with Frank Ribery at Artemio Franchi Stadium this season.

Federico’s understanding of the game and his desire to press makes him perfect for Jurgen, while also acting as world-class back-up to the front three, something the Reds are missing at the moment.

He could be a tad expensive, considering his potential, but Chiesa solves an impending issue in the tea and if the Anfield outfit are able to retain their star trio in the attack, spending on La Viola man makes perfect sense.

However, it is to be seen if Federico is happy to move to Liverpool’s bench after playing regularly for the Italian club.
