Serie A side SS Lazio are reportedly interested in landing out-of-favour Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian.

The 29-year-old star has had a nightmare stint at the club but initially broke onto the scene at Manchester United with plenty of promise.

Signed by Louis van Gaal back in 2015, the Italian star looked a great addition in the first few months and made 39 matches in the campaign that followed his Torino exit, although since then the club have seen very little of Darmian.

According to an Italian media outlet Calciomercato, it’s reported that SS Lazio could make a swoop for Darmian this summer. The only possible problem is he is a second option behind Malaga’s Jony.

Matteo should be looking to get back into the Italy roster if he gets a transfer in the summer. It’s misfortunate how his professional career nosedived after joining Manchester United.

The Red Devils are currently on the observation post for a right-back in the transfer window, which should give Matteo a bonus reason to depart Old Trafford this summer.

Norwegian coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer allegedly wants to land Crystal Palace starlet Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the Daily Star quoting a report on a contract agreement between the player and star.

Meanwhile, another Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen has appeared as a summer transfer target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, according to a British free daily newspaper the London Evening Standard.
