Manchester United have reportedly cooled their interest in Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic, with French midfielder Paul Pogba set to stay at the club.
According to a recent report by the London Evening Standard, the Red Devils have decided to end their reported pursuit of Ivan Rakitic.
The Premier League giants decided to drop their interest in the Barcelona star as Paul Pogba is happy and settled at Old Trafford.
Nearly 5 years have passed since he made his way to Barcelona, and it is safe to say that Ivan has proved himself as one of the best midfielders in the world football during this time.
One of the fittest stars at Barcelona, Ivan has amassed over 250 matches with the club, winning every title on offer.
But, ever since the deal to land Frenkie de Jong was announced, the midfielder seems to be facing an undetermiend future at Camp Nou, with the Red Devils reportedly among the teams said to be interested in landing him.
The report, however, claims that with Paul Pogba content at the club, Manchester United have made the decision to withdraw their interest in the Blaugrana star.
They also add that while Manchester United are not going to offer him a fresh contract just yet, the common feeling around the club is that Paul has no intention to depart, something that has been confirmed by the latest reports.
Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was hired as the caretaker coach back in December, both Frenchman and the club have seen a turnaround in fortunes.
