Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix is reportedly on the transfer radar of Manchester United as a possible alternative to Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils continued to be mentioned with Borussia Dortmund’s Sancho, but with the Bundesliga side refusing to budge on their £108 million asking price, United could be forced to seek out other variants.
Felix arrived at Atletico Madrid in a deal worth £113 million from Liga NOS giants Benfica last summer, and the Portuguese forward went on to register nine goals and three assists in his first campaign with the La Liga giants.
However, Joao’s future has been called into question on a couple of occasions, and according to a report by the Daily Star, United could make a move for the talent if a deal for Sancho falls through.
The Red Devils’ arch rivals Manchester City have been previously touted with an interest in the 20-year-old, who penned a long-term contract with Atletico running until 2026 upon his arrival.
Juventus’s Douglas Costa and Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale have also been mentioned as potential alternatives to Sancho for United.
Meantime, Porto are allegedly prepared to consider offers for Manchester United target Alex Telles which are below the star’s release clause.
Although the left-back has been an important player at the Portuguese giants, the Brazilian will depart this summer due to his contract expiring in 2021.
Alex has a release clause in the region of £35 million, it appears that Porto are willing to part company with the 27-year-old for much less than that fee.
According to A Bola, the league champions are now content to accept an offer of just £18m, a development which will alert the Red Devils.
