Barcelona whizkid Marc Jurado is set to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United after announcing his exit from the Catalan side on social media, Instagram.
The highly-rated 16-year-old ace posted a farewell message on his social media this week to thank the club for aiding his development since he signed for them at the age of seven.
The defender is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the club’s La Masia academy and Metro.co.uk claims United agreed to personal terms with the star earlier this year over a move to Old Trafford.
Blaugrana had been desperate to keep the youngster and offered him a lucrative, long-term contract to stay in Spain but his head was turned by the Red Devils’ offer.
The English side will have to pay a compensation fee to the La Liga side given the club helped train Jurado from a young age but a sum of around £200,000 will be considered a snip for a player of Marc’s potential.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are allegedly close to sealing a deal for Aston Villa star Jack Grealish.
The Englishman has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for some time and is widely expected to leave Villa should they suffer relegation come the end of the campaign.
According to The Express, the Red Devils are confident of securing Grealish’s signature and have pinpointed the Villa captain as an ideal replacement for Angel Gomes, whose contract at the club is about to expire.
