Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is a summer transfer target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United, according to the latest reports.

The Hoops forward has been in sensational form this campaign with 24 goals in all competitions thus far.

The French star is the leading the Scottish Premiership’s top scorer rankings too as Neil Lennon’s side chase down nine-in-a-row.

Last week the forward, who has two-and-a-half years left on his existing deal, said interest in his services was flattering but the pacy star was only focused on Celtic.

And now, according to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils’ transfer chief Ed Woodward has drawn a list of stars they want in the summer – with Odsonne on it.

They say that the world football heavyweights have ‘eyed up’ the French Under-21 international.

The club signed Odion Ighalo last month after failing to sign Bournemouth’s Josh King to fire them to the top four.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have reportedly identified Timo Werner of Reb Bull Leipzig as their top target.

Ex-Celtic player Moussa Dembele is also said to be on the transfer radar of their scouts. However, it is stated that Edouard is also attracting their attention.

Meantime, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer branded Eric Bailly “absolutely fantastic” following the star’s performance against Chelsea on Monday night.

“Absolutely fantastic, Eric is a top defender. His block from [Mateo] Kovacic was out of this world, he is quick, strong, brave as a lion. It is great to have him back,” Ole told reporters.

The 25-year-old star hadn’t played a single minute of senior-team football for United this term ahead of Monday’s affair.
