Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have allegedly made contact with Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who is supposedly interested in leaving the Italian champions.
The 35-year-old Portuguese legend joined Maurizio Sarri’s side from Real Madrid two years ago and has chalked up 21 goals in 22 league games for Bianconeri during the 2019-20 campaign.
Ronaldo’s current contract with Juve will expire at the end of the 2021-22 term, but the forward is allegedly planning to leave the Italian outfit soon.
According to a Spanish newspaper AS, Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer to Cristiano, as they would like to see the superstar play alongside France international Kylian Mbappe.
The report also states that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner would favour a return to the English top-flight with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, but a move would depend on the club’s ability to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 games for the Red Devils between 2003 and 2009.
Meantime, one-time Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand does not expect the Red Devils to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.
“Harry Kane to Man United? You want him to go Man United? Would I take Harry Kane now? Of course, you would,” Rio said.
“If he’s fit and he’s raring to go, you take Harry Kane to Manchester United. 100% because he is a top player. You are guaranteeing goals. In the Premier League, you are guaranteeing goals. He scores goals.
“But I do not see Tottenham letting Harry Kane go. And with Mourinho there, I do not see Mourinho letting him go to Manchester United.”
