Erling Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola is allegedly set to spark a transfer scramble for his client’s services amid reports in Spain that he will quit Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Manchester United were mentioned with the prolific striker last January. Having worked together at Molde, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer flew out to see his compatriot after he blasted 29 goals in 27 matches for RB Salzburg.

They though apparently baulked at his Raiola’s sum involved in the deal for Haaland. Instead the Norwegian ace secured a move to BVB for just £17.2m.

Ed Woodward was also opposed to the insistence of Mino that a release clause be inserted into his United contract.

That clause has since been inserted into his contract at Dortmund.  This states he can leave the Signal Iduna Park in 2022 should any club match his £63 million release fee.

However, it’s reported Mino is already looking to move the player on this summer. Reports on Tuesday reported United were ready to launch a huge nine-figure offer for him.

Reports of his departure from the Bundesliga heavyweights are also beginning to gather pace in Spain.

According to Cat Radio, Mino is already working to find a new club. They surprisingly state that Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona are in the running to land the striker.

Presidential candidate Emili Roussaud has made it his priority to sign Haaland.

The super-agent has since dismissed suggestions that Erling could join Barcelona as ‘fake news’.

As such, the Daily Express claim that stance will open the door to both the Red Devils and Manchester City.
