DAVID DE GEA is still keen to return to Spain.
The Manchester United star has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months.
De Gea, 26, nearly joined the La Liga giants in 2015 but a late fax ended any hope of a deal.
The €47m-rated Spain international instead penned a bumper new contract at Old Trafford.
However, according to Spanish transfer outlet Don Balon, De Gea still has his heart set on a move to Real.
They say the former Atletico Madrid stopper is keen to return to his homeland next summer.
Don Balon add that Real feel they are in debt to De Gea after the goalkeeper’s failed move in 2015.
Real are still keen on De Gea but Don Balon also say the La Liga giants are keeping tabs on other stoppers.
AC Milan sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma, Athletic Bilbao ace Kepa Arrizabalaga and Atletico star Jan Oblak are also being watched.
