Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey reportedly still has his sights set on a summer move to Arsenal at the end of the campaign.
The north Londoners are believed to have made signing the Ghanaian player their top priority for the summer transfer window.
Partey has a £44 million release clause in his contract and the midfielder’s father revealed in April that negotiations over a transfer were ongoing.
Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain have since emerged as another possibility for Thomas Partey, but Football.London claims that he remains interested in completing a move to the Emirates Stadium.
The same report adds that Atleti may consider a swap deal with Mikel Arteta’s side, with Alexandre Lacazette previously being mentioned with the La Liga club.
The French forward has been a target of the Spanish outfit as they look to solve their goalscoring woes. Diego Simeone’s side have netted just 31 league goals in 27 games – the lowest in the top nine.
Alexandre, usually so prolific, has struggled this season for Arsenal after finding the net just seven times. A lack of form saw the player fall out of favour under manager Mikel Arteta.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are prepared to offer defender David Luiz a new deal on reduced terms, according to a report.
The Brazil international signed for the Gunners on a one-year deal from rivals Chelsea last year and has yet to discuss fresh terms with the club.
However, The Mirror states that Arsenal are planning talks with David over an incentives-based deal, which will see the star’s salary adapt depending on appearances and other various add-ons.
