Borussia Dortmund are reportedly prepared to battle Arsenal for the signature of Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby during this summer’s transfer window.

The 20-year-old has netted five times and provided eight assists in 27 matches for his German club during the 2019-20 campaign, including two assists versus Werder Bremen on Monday night.

Arsenal have allegedly pinpointed the left-sided attacker a potential summer transfer target, but according to Le 10 Sport, Die Borussen are also in the hunt for his signature.

The report states that the German giants have already approached the BayArena outfit to inquire over the availability of the France U21 international ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Die Werkself have Moussa on a contract until June 2024 but are said to be open to offers in the region of £27m.

The youngster came through the youth system at PSG and made 34 appearances for the French giants last season before joining Leverkusen.

Meantime, Benfica attacker Rafa Silva is reportedly keen on a move to Arsenal amid speculation linking the PL side with a swoop for the player.

The 27-year-old star enjoyed an impressive season with Benfica before the season was brought to a halt because of the COVID-19 outbreak, as Silva chalked up nine goals and six assists from 25 games.

According to Correio da Manhã, the Portuguese star is flattered by Arsenal’s supposed interest in him, and the Gunners are hopeful of striking a deal.

However, the report adds that the winger has a release clause of €80m (£71.3m) in his current deal, a sum which could prove implausible for Arsenal to fork out considering the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
