Arsenal target Samuel Umtiti will be sold by Barcelona in the summer, according to reports.
And that has put the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea on red alert.
According to Sport, the centre-back could be available for between as little as £26 million when the transfer market reopens.
Barcelona want to raise some cash to spend on their other targets and are therefore attempting to flog some of their valuable assets.
He joined the Camp Nou club from Lyon back in 2016 and since then has won the league-and-cup double twice in Spain.
Samuel was also part of the France roster that won the World Cup in 2018.
But his playing time has been limited because of a knee problem and the competition to partner Gerard Pique from fellow defender Clement Lenglet.
Reports this week suggested Samuel’s destination of preference would be Chelsea.
However, the Stamford Bridge outfit are also looking at Lille ace Gabriel Magalhaes, who is four years younger than the player.
Arsenal were keen on making a deal happen in the January window but opted to land Pablo Mari on loan instead.
Mari is expected to join on a permanent deal this summer, while William Saliba will return from his loan at Saint-Etienne.
The Gunners have also been linked with RB Leipzig ace Dayot Upamecano who would undoubtedly walk into the starting eleven at the Emirates.
The North London outfit are also keen on Magalhaes, Dejan Lovren of Liverpool and unsettled Bayern Munich player Jerome Boateng.
It is thought Samuel’s game would be well-suited to the Premier League, where he’d have plenty of compatriots to help settle him in, such as Matteo Guendouzi and Alexandre Lacazette.
