Arsenal are reportedly beating La Liga side Real Madrid in the transfer battle for Eredivisie club Ajax star Nicolas Tagliafico.
Arsenal have contacted Brazilian club Ituano regarding the availability of Brazilian prodigy Gabriel Martinelli, who has also been on Barcelona and Manchester United’s radar.
According to a British newspaper the Daily Mail, the 17-year-old prodigy has previously been a trialist at both the Old Trafford and Camp Nou, while also drawing interest from Crystal Palace and Watford.
The Mail reports that the Gunners have opened talks for the Brazilian striker, who has been in stunning form for Ituano in the fourth tier State Championship.
Gabriel has contributed three assists and four goals in 10 matches at the start of the Paulista A1 campaign, earning the attention of a host of top clubs around the continent.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is already pinpointing potential reinforcements ahead of next campaign and Martinelli could be one of the main targets on his wishlist, especially if the star continues to perform at such a high.
ESPN claims that the young winger had two trials with Red Devils back in 2017 before the club eventually decided against offering him a permanent deal, but it appears that Gabriel may have grown stronger for the experience.
Football London states that Martinelli is currently rated at around €10 million and a whole number of Brazilian sides are also monitoring his progress closely, including Santos, Cruzeiro, Corinthians, Palmeiras and Flamengo.
If Arsenal could manage to tempt the teenager to the Emirates Stadium this summer for a bargain fee they could be rewarded for their investment by ten times in the future, with Gabriel tipped for a big future at the highest level of the match.
The Premier League giants Arsenal have made highly-rated AS Roma winger Cengiz Under their top summer target, with AC Milan star Suso being his alternative, according to a British press.
As per a report by a British outlet the Sun, Turkey international is the first choice for the Gunners to strengthen their attack in the summer transfer market.
But, the Premier League giants are also keeping their variants open, with fellow Serie A attacker Suso being their backup target.
Turkish ace arrived at Giallorossi in the summer window of 2017 following the departure of Egypt international Mohamed Salah to Gunners’ fellow EPL side Liverpool.
He was nothing short of impressive in his maiden season at Stadio Olimpico, finishing the term with a decent return of eight goals and two assists in 32 matches across all competitions.
This campaign, however, Cengiz has added new components to his game, having become a creatively gifted winger. And, a tally of six goals and nine assists in 25 matches makes for impressive reading.
The star is currently out with an injury he suffered in January but has done enough of an impression to be pursued by elite clubs in Europe.
A lack of natural wide men in his roster has forced Spanish manager Unai Emery to deploy a host of attackers in the wide areas while also shuffling his current system around on a host of occasions.
But, if the latest reports are anything to go by, the Gunners boss is intent on fixing that in the summer transfer market.
