According to The Reading Chronicle, Arsenal are keen on Michael Olise.

A lot of teams were interested in the attacker, including Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United but Reading are, however, unwilling to let the player leave on the cheap.

He started his footballing education in the youth ranks of Chelsea before signing for Reading’s academy on a free transfer five years ago.

He initially impressed for the Berkshire outfit’s Under-18 side before bursting onto the senior team picture in the EFL Championship during the 2018-19 season.

The 18-year-old ace made only 4 league appearances in his first season. He then went on to establish himself in a more prominent role previous season, featuring 19 times in the English second division.

Olise has started the 2020-21 term in the Championship on a bright note. The French youth international bagged an assist in Reading’s 2-0 win over Derby County on the opening day of the season.

He then followed it up with his first senior goal as the club beat Barnsley 2-0 at the Madejski Stadium. He is a part of the French Under-18 roster and has two caps for them so far.

Michael Olise would be one for the future considering his young age. At 18, the ace has enough time to develop into a big player.

Olise’s versatility of playing on either flank and attacking midfield will be another factor that supports him.

Also, the fact that he is frequently rubbing shoulders with the senior pros at just 18 is clearly indicative of some eye-catching progress and highlights a level of maturity that belies his tender years.
