Arsenal are reportedly continuing to closely watch midfielder Joan Jordan, with Spanish outlet Marca claiming that Mikel Arteta loves his game.

Joan is one of several Sevilla stars seemingly winning a lot of plaudits this campaign. The 26-year-old has registered six assists in La Liga – no player in Julen Lopetegui’s roster has provided more.

And it appears that his form isn’t going unnoticed elsewhere. The Sun reported ahead of the January market that Arsenal had made him a priority.

No move didn’t take place in the winter, but they have been linked once again as the summer transfer window looms.

According to Marca, the north Londoners are closely monitoring the former Eibar star. It is noted that Mikel in particular, is a big fan of Jordan.

It will be a crucial summer for Arteta at the club. There have been reasons for optimism, but Arsenal’s form has been incredibly mixed.

The Spanish tactician will be hoping to stamp more of his mark on his side over the coming months.

And if Joan is a player he is a big admirer of, perhaps he’ll make sure to implore the Gunners board to do all they can to land the Sevilla star.
