Napoli, Juventus and Inter are all monitoring Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri’s situation at the club, sources have told Goal.

However, the former AS Roma player is still hoping his long-term future remains at the west London heavyweights.

Napoli are considering replacing Faouzi Ghoulam or Mario Rui with the Italy international in the next transfer market, with the Algerian having been left out of the club’s UCL squad this season.

Palmieri had fallen out of favour before play was suspended because of the coronavirus outbreak, with the 25-year-old star not making Frank Lampard’s matchday squad in four of the club’s five most recent PL matches.

Frank has insisted that he has yet to make any final decisions over the future of his players and Palmieri is hopeful of convincing the club that his long-term future remains in west London.

The Blues have been looking to bolster at left-back for some time. Leicester City ace Ben Chilwell is an ambitious primary target for the club but the transfer sum could prove substantial after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United set an expensive precedent in their £80 million (€91 million) deal for Harry Maguire last summer.

Porto full-back Alex Telles is currently available for £35 million (€40 million) due to his release clause and is on the Blues’ transfer radar, while Getafe’s loan sensation from Barcelona Marc Cucurella is further down the wishlist.

Interestingly, Partenopei also have an interest in Cucurella, who could be purchased by Getafe from Barca ahead of a sale this summer at around £23 million (€25 million).
