According to a recent report from All Nigeria Soccer, West Ham United have made a proposal to sign Chelsea’s teenage attacker Adrian Akande.
The Hammers won’t have things all their own way, however. All Nigeria Soccer states that Liverpool, Celtic, Tottenham Hotspur, Rangers and Manchester United are all keen on landing the Chelsea whizkid.
It is also reported that there is interest in the youngster from Germany, with Hoffenheim keen on bringing the player to the Bundesliga.
The 15-year-old Akande is a real talent. In spite of his tender years, he has already played in the U23 Premier League.
He is also a Nigeria U17 international and Adrian has already spent time on trial with the Hammers just last month.
The Chelsea youth prospect obviously made an impression in east London, with All Nigeria Soccer stating that the Hammers have already submitted an offer to sign the young winger.
Akande is obviously one for the future, but Adrian’s chances of earning regular first-team football over the next five seasons or so would be far greater at West Ham United than they would be at Liverpool, Spurs or United.
And considering the lengthy list of interested teams in his signature, it would be a real coup for the Premier League side if they manage to bring him to the London Stadium.
